Am Shalom – Reform Congregation in Glencoe, Illinois - Illness and Healing
Illness and Healing
Through times of illness and healing, our Am Shalom community can provide pastoral care as well as practical support such as meals and rides.
Please let us know if you or a family member are in the hospital so that we can contact you and/or visit. The hospitals are not allowed to provide us with that information, so we rely on you. In addition, you may receive a phone call from a member of our Chesed Committee to ask if they can bring meals, help with rides or other tasks.
Jewish tradition holds that each visitor and helper brings a person 1/60th closer to healing, physically and spiritually.
