Matthew Altman

Matthew Altman became Am Shalom’s Technology Specialist in April 2019. He is responsible for every technological aspect of the synagogue, from ensuring our WiFi is up to speed, to helping members utilize our website, being sure our services are streamed on Friday nights, and researching new ways to use technology here at Am Shalom.

Matthew previously served as Am Shalom’s Director of Youth Programming, where he helped grow the youth programming and school alongside Kadi House.

 In his spare time, Matthew loves to spend time with his wife, Camila, and his daughter, Sara, who was born in February 2019. When not traveling to weddings, he likes to spend his time playing board games, attending sporting events, coding for side projects, or just playing with Sara. Matthew met Camila at Northwestern in 2008, where he received his B.S. in Communication Studies in 2010. He is currently finishing up his Masters in Jewish Professional Studies from Spertus.
