Can speak and read easily, but don't understand the words

Not proficient, but want to help out in Hebrew School and learn more.
Madrichim who help before Hebrew School will receive $5 per session. Drop in is our program before Hebrew School where students can come and buy snacks/hang out at Am Shalom - we often need help selling snacks, managing kids in the hallway, etc.
This could be due to sports, shows, etc.
