Lisa Kaplan
Lisa Kaplan, Chief Operating Officer
Lisa Kaplan was the Executive Director at Moriah Congregation (in Deerfield) for eight years and Chief Development Officer and Director of Membership & Programming at Temple Sholom of Chicago for six years.
Prior to Synagogue management, she worked in fund development for the American Cancer Society while living in Philadelphia for four years. Lisa graduated from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) with a bachelor’s degree in sports marketing/management and is proud to have helped create the Chicago Marathon’s Charity Runner Program and facilitated its Corporate Team Challenge.
Lisa is responsible for day-to-day operations, management of the facility and the congregation’s business affairs. She strives to maintain a “can do” approach to collaborating with the staff, the senior leadership team, and the board, as well as, seeks to advance future development opportunities. Outside of Am Shalom, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Aaron, and her children, Julia and Charlie.
