Parents will spend time in the classrooms and join their students for Tefillah (Services)

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

I (parent) can’t make it to Open House. Should my student still attend?

Yes! There will be Hebrew learning on this day, and we expect that all students will attend as usual, even if their parents can’t join them. We will help all students to feel loved and cared for.

We can’t stay for the dinner. Should we still come to Open House?

Yes! While we hope you’ll stay for dinner (an easy night – no need to cook), we understand that not all families are able to stay.

I have more than one Hebrew School student. Will I be able to divide my time?

Yes! We will help you to divide your time between your students. Please go to your younger student’s class first (20 minutes) and your older student’s class second (20 minutes).

I have questions for my child’s teacher about my child’s progress and work. Is Open House a good time to discuss?

You’ll have quite a bit of time in the classroom with your student and the teacher, but we hope that if you have specific questions for the teacher about your child that you will contact the teacher directly to set up a time to talk via email or phone. This is a great opportunity for you to meet the teacher and see how the classroom operates. If you need contact information for your child’s teacher, feel free to reach out to Rabbi Anne or Rabbi Phyllis.

Can I bring younger siblings (not in Hebrew School) to the Open House?

Yes.

The cost for dinner is $18 per family. (Just select "1" under "Open House and Dinner"

If you do not plan on attending dinner, please just select "Just Open House"

Please put into notes any dietary restrictions you may have, and how many people from your family will be staying for dinner.
