Looking
Back...Moving Forward
Originally built in 1927 as North Shore Congregation Israel, our
building was the first Jewish institution between Howard Street
and Waukegan on
the North Shore of Chicago. So much has changed since then.
While we are looking to improve our facility, we want to be
careful to preserve our history. Please share with us the
special memories you have of our building at 840 Vernon Avenue
by sending an e-mail to Rabbi Lowenstein at
stevenlow@amshalom.com.
